Creative Healing: New Year Renewal

  • Bay House Grenada (map)

“Art opens the closets, airs out the cellars and attics. It brings healing.”

– Julia Cameron

Creativity is a powerful force that can awaken us to the potential of each new moment. As we settle into this new year, let’s come together and ignite the spirit of playful exploration! Creative Healing: New Year Renewal is an opportunity to gain insight and learn tools that both Yoga Therapy and Art Therapy can offer you on your healing journey.

Join Malaika Brooks-Smith-Lowe, Professional Yoga Therapist, and Stacey Byer, Artist & Illustrator, for an intimate day of self-inquiry, creative expression and connection. Nestled in the hills overlooking Grand Anse Beach, Bay House offers us a tranquil space with stunning views to inspire reflection and self-expression with a special discount if you choose to overnight. Enjoy coffee, tea, welcome bites and a delicious wholesome lunch by Chef Belinda and the talented Flavours of Grenada team.

We invite you to this intentional pause after the busy holiday season, to experience a rich blend of movement, breath, meditation, art, journaling and collective care. Come move your body, get your hands dirty and see what unfolds from there!

Come as you are. Beginners welcome. All bodies welcome.

“Art is my cure to all this madness, sadness and loss of belonging in the world & through it I’ll walk myself home.”

― Nikki Rowe

Testimonials

Wow! This all-day Creative Healing Retreat was well worth it. I left feeling refreshed and more connected to myself, nature, and good people. Love the spaciousness. Nothing felt rushed, yet we covered so much ground. Malaika and Stacey hold space so well. Expect a lot of grace, laughs, and support.

Grenada offers the most beautiful and tranquil locations, but sometimes you need something more than a day dwelling on the beach. The Creative Healing Retreat facilitated by Malaika and Stacey, who are experts in their respective fields, is best described as a gentle intervention when you need to be guided to a place of deep rest and relaxation. From the location, sessions, light refreshments to lunch (and even their soothing voices and words), they curate an experience that allows you to make a much deeper connection with your mind, body, soul and other attendees, void of the distractions of the world. I highly recommend investing in these retreats.

The Creative Healing Retreat was a welcome change to my usual weekend activities. It was the perfect break/getaway I needed. It was helpful in clearing my mind and refocusing my energy. It was fun as it was relaxing. You should definitely try it!

This was my first time attending a yoga and art therapy retreat. I arrived very anxious wanting to be in control. I was met by a warm welcome from both Stacey and Malaika. I learnt so much about myself and my creative skills that had been dormant. The love and connections i made were so beautiful more importantly left with a heart of gratitude and the scope to give myself compassion.

The Creative Retreat was for me a blessing in disguise and much needed as a giver. If I could live life each day as we did on Sunday, life would certainly be blissful. Really enjoyed the Art therapy with Stacey to just let go and let it flow. Refreshing to return to yoga in such a beautiful setting with an empowering yogi Malaika. Freshly prepared food by Chef Belinda was also treat. Giving to me for one day was fulfilled. Thank you for this space.
