Creative Healing: Spring Renewal

  • True Blue Bay Resort Grenada (map)

“Art can permeate the very deepest part of us, where no words exist.”
― Eileen Miller

Creative expression can be a powerful tool for relaxation, stress reduction, and mindfulness. You’re invited to our 3rd Creative Healing retreat!

Creative Healing: Spring Renewal is an opportunity for gentle reflection and self-nourishment. Join Malaika Brooks-Smith-Lowe, Professional Yoga Therapist, and Stacey Byer, Artist & Illustrator, for a blissful day of relaxation and connection.

We will begin by awakening our senses with morning yoga in the beautiful treetop yoga studio at True Blue Bay Resort, immersing in gentle flows and restorative poses to support balance and vitality. Then we’ll creatively explore through nature and self-expression, playfully unlocking the depths of your imagination. Enjoy coffee, tea, welcome bites and a delicious wholesome lunch. Option to stay after lunch and enjoy pool access until 4pm.

We invite you to experience a rich blend of movement, breath, meditation, art, journaling and collective care. Come move your body, get your hands dirty and see what unfolds from there!

Come as you are. Beginners welcome. All bodies welcome.

“Imagination is tapping into the subconscious in a form of open play. That is why art or music therapy, which encourages a person to take up brushes and paint or an instrument, and just express themselves, is so powerful.”

Phil 'Philosofree' Cheney

Testimonials

The day gave me the opportunity to let go and let be. In so doing, I experienced the sessions without questioning or judging myself. I recommend this retreat to anyone who’s looking to find the inner self or for a reset.

~ Steph

Grenada offers the most beautiful and tranquil locations, but sometimes you need something more than a day dwelling on the beach. The Creative Healing Retreat facilitated by Malaika and Stacey, who are experts in their respective fields, is best described as a gentle intervention when you need to be guided to a place of deep rest and relaxation. From the location, sessions, light refreshments to lunch (and even their soothing voices and words), they curate an experience that allows you to make a much deeper connection with your mind, body, soul and other attendees, void of the distractions of the world. I highly recommend investing in these retreats.

I left the retreat feeling very centred, relaxed and ready to tackle the week ahead. The tools I learned were quite useful and I find myself incorporating them in my regular day-to-day activities. Overall it was a great experience with a lovely group of people who made me feel very welcome.

This was my first time attending a yoga and art therapy retreat. I arrived very anxious wanting to be in control. I was met by a warm welcome from both Stacey and Malaika. I learnt so much about myself and my creative skills that had been dormant. The love and connections i made were so beautiful more importantly left with a heart of gratitude and the scope to give myself compassion.

~ Sandra

The Creative Retreat was for me a blessing in disguise and much needed as a giver. If I could live life each day as we did on Sunday, life would certainly be blissful. Really enjoyed the Art therapy with Stacey to just let go and let it flow. Refreshing to return to yoga in such a beautiful setting with an empowering yogi Malaika. Freshly prepared food by Chef Belinda was also treat. Giving to me for one day was fulfilled. Thank you for this space.
